Bay area improv/experimental stalwart delivers a mindblowing set of multitracked pieces for alto sax, clarinet and whistles. Randy Lee is best known for full-bore free playing but on this release shows a more controlled and composed side to his music with the completely organic sounding (i.e., if a tree could play reeds, it might do it like this) pieces making heavy use of slowly altering pattern and straight repetition.
